If I had a diary called "The diary of Mark Kriss" it would be nothing like Anne Frank's. Anne Frank was a brave girl to not be as worried as I would be. I would be thinking about my family, friends, pets, and our old house. "Anne Frank the diary of a young girl" should not have yong girl at the end it should be called diary of a brave girl. Anyway, here is what has happened so far. First, Anne Frank was seperated from all of her friends and she did not live in her house anymore. She got moved to a place called "the secret annex" where Jews lived because Germans did not think Jews where normal people. In the "secret annex" Jewish people would live with other Jewish people and the house is about the size of a classroom. Anne Frank has a crush on a guy named Peter and he ended up living with Anne in the "secret annex. Anne would end up dead if the Germans decided to take her to a concentration camp. A concentration camp is where the Germans took Jewish people to work and then eventually kill them. Hitler had the idea of only people with blond hair and blue eyes could live (Hitler did not have blond hair and blue eyes!) anne Frank and Peter end up kissing eachother a t night and Anne freaked out about it. I think that Anne is in a very frightening time. Anne has to hide frome Hitler because he is sending Jewish people to concentration camps. In a concentration camp you work to death and when you can not work you will either get shot, gased, or burned to death. Anne is a brave girl and most people do not get in these tpe of situations. While Anne is still alive, she tries to make life as good as possible. Hitler decides that there should be a war between the Germans and the Americans.

The poem symobolizes the Jews in the Holocaust and hell because they are similar places and you can compare them. "You'll survive on day and hope for next" in the holocaust you would hope to survive the next day because the Nazi's started killing all of the Jewish people. In Hell' you might not see the next day because you could burn. " But the demons love to vex" vex means to torture little by little and in the holocaust, the Jews were could be tortured but still survive. In hell, you could be tortured to death and you can be tortured a little bit. " Atop his chair, the devil rest, laughing at the pain of his broken guest". This is similar to the holocaust because Hitler would kill a Jew and start to laugh becuase he thought killing a Jew was humorous. In hell, the devil will kill you and just laugh at you while your are in pain. " I dream of a way to break from this hell, i'm going crazy , I know I can tell. But to my faith I have to stick, to survive the devil's arithmetic". That shows that the people in hell try to escape and plan to survive because they want to get out of hell alive. In the holocaust it began to be hopeless because there was security everywhere and if you tried to escape you would get killed so I am sure some people would come up with a plan to get out of the holocaust.
